I wrote 5.5 pages is that enough? Just explains each time we were with each other in person. (it explains the trips we took together, and all).

Cause it says "Maintaning contact" So this means AFTER we got married?

24. Has your sponor visited you during the period of your relationship?
Do they mean before getting married or after? Cause we got married, I came back home and started to fill out these forums!

25. Have you visited your sponsor during the period of your relationship?
Once again before or after marriage? Cause the topic says "maintaning contact".

I just want to be sure about it.

I did invite her over too Europe for 1 full month at my place does that count or does it count as in vacation time only?
I also was at her house with her parents for 2 weeks. Does that count?

QUESTION 28, are you currently living with your sponsor?
I put in NO but then it asks me "When did your sponsor return to Canada? *fill in the date* <--- has one date only but the thing is. I was in Canada just a week ago and she left to Canada about 3 months ago! Do I put that date there or what? I mean that question does not make sense at all one bit!

There is no right or wrong answer for "enough". In our app, we just stuck to the lines provided on the form so we wrote only 5 lines (plus accompanying photos). It all depends how much you think you need to write to convince the VO the relationship is genuine.

No, it's for the duration of your relationship (before and after marriage). They want to make sure the relationship was real before you got married... so there is no chance of it being a marriage of convenience.

They are looking for "cohabitation"... which means actually living together. You should put "no", but then explain all the dates and situations you temporarily lived together on vacations.

Yeah for the plane tickets and all. I don't really have that. And about the visa stamps when she came to Europe same thing, no tickets, as she is also a EU citizen, but we took a load of pictures so that should be enough!

I think it is more than enough, Keep important details only though. Include details of meetings before and after marriage. Provide evidence: Phone Calls, Emails, Online Chat Logs (if any), Letters, Cards, and Photographs together.

Yes it does count. Provide photographs together, Travel arrangements (Tickets etc), Family letters etc

Just has a slot for 1 date. I mean I went to go visit her in Canada and came back 2 weeks ago. Do I put in the date she left for Canada back in October then?

Question is about your sponsor, so fill in the date when she returned to Canada. Also when you write a letter documenting details of your relationship, provide the details of your visit to Canada as well as her visit to your place.

Even if you don't have the physical airplane tickets... if there was any airplane travel at all there is usually an e-ticket or simply a booking reference email when you bought the tickets, that show the dates and all that. You could just print out these. Even if you erased the emails, if you log into the airline website you used... you can look up and print old flight itineraries.

And yes, 5 lines was probably not much! In our case we had been living together for a year and a half, so felt that was lots of proof in itself. It probably would have been safer to explain a bit more though. If you are trying to prove a long-distance relationship, you should definitely include more info on separate pages like you have.

RajaJi - Yes thank you I'll do that then just it's so confusing at times!

Rob_TO - Yeah I guess each case is very different from what I keep on reading. 5.5 ages should be enough.
Things I deleted emails that I had. I don't even remember where or with who I had booked something 6 months ago! But good thing is. The pictures and visa from that country are in my passport, and the pictures speak for themselves.



I also noticed some questions ask for proof of one thing, it's like everything I wrote in those 5.5 pages explains all the details, and the proof I am using in that #9, I am using for other numbers as well. Ummmm...

*A letter with details of your relationship, times together, details of visits to each other, places you both went etc.
*Evidence to support your explanations in the letter - Photographs, Travel tickets (you can provide receipts, credit card statements etc)
*Joint bank accounts, Letters from family members, Wedding Cards, Marriage Certificate
*Any thing which can show that both of you are - Made For Each Other

Yeah I didn't keep receipts of going out to eat but sure did pay it on my credit card! So that's proof right there!

If you got married I am sure a marriage certificate would go into the package hehe.

Thing is we didn't know we would get married after so many years. We started talking again this year. And thank god for facebook keeping records when she messaged me on there shows proof of date and all. So going to take screen shots of that, emails we don't really save. just chit chat and kinky talk on it at times lol. Not giving them that!

I swear I'll print one out and if they ever call me to the interview and near the end the guy says something bad. I'll pull it out and be like what you think about that buddy? And cover the bad stuff out loll. JK! I wouldn't care really.

You should be able to call your credit card company and ask for duplicates of your bills if you have thrown them out. Or maybe you can see your past statements online?

Luxembourg works different ways but I got the last 4 months saved. But anything from the start wouldn't do me any good. Just skype logs from 6 months+ ago and facebook conversations really. emails not that great. I should try to find the trips we took on the credit card.

Gosh I just wish they would get a lie detector machine hook it up and ask you questions! So simple! All these forms to fill out and questions, yikes!
