Hi,

I am in process to fill up my application for citizenship. I am confused with the 6 I question - which is

List the education history for your children, including those who are already Canadian citizens, who are or were under the age of 18 in the six (6) years before the date of application or since you became a permanent resident, whichever is more recent, if applicable. If any children did not attend school because they were not of school age, complete the information and check the box.

I have 2 kids and both are not of school age. So, in the form I just wrote their names, date of birth and checked marked "Child is not at school age"

One kid of mine went to two different day cares only of couple of months in total.

Should I leave the information as I filled up with the child info, filling the first line of boxes as N/A and checked "Child is not at school age" .

My other question is for dates for work and home address - If I am presently working and living at the same address - in To date: Shall I add the date on which the application is signed or write "Present".

Thank you in advance!

Day care is not considered a school and you can select "not at school age".
For the work and home, you can leave the "to" part blank and I dont think you can write "present" as the form will not allow you. That's what I did for my application.
All the very best!

Thanks for the reply! Understood for the day care part.

For work and home question - I was able to write Present. - What do you suggest leaving blank or write present.

Thank you!

Since you need to mention a date, I believe that the best thing to do is to put your application date (Or else you might need to add some explanation)

Agreed. I wrote present as well in those fields.

Looking at Rigly68 signature -as he mentioned he wrote Present and he did receive his decision on his citizenship application - I would assume that writing Present would make more sense as you are presently living at the same address and presently working at the same office which is more recent on the date of application.

If you would add a date of application in place of writing present or leaving blank - it could also mean that date was your last day at work or living the address.

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Thanks everyone!
