i had some queries :

my understanding : student visas / work permits / visit visas are considered immigration status in canada since your stay as a student / work / visit etc. leads to Permanent residency here . however, in usa, student visas are non-immigrant since it does not lead to any immigration status like green card. so should i be including those dates. it was around 15 yrs back so don't remember the exact dates.

also, i have lot of 1-2 day visits to various countries using schengen visa in eruope but have lost the old passports so don't remember the exact dates. how do i include it ?

this question is so vague.

You need to mention any kind of visa you had held or holding currently. This includes visitor visa, study visas as well. Look at the application guide that has more information on this.

I had a follow up question regarding qns. 13. I had one of my passports stollen while i was travelling in europe and that had a lot of travel visas and stamps. I don't recollect the dates now because we used to travel quite a bit on schengen visa. what do i do in this situation ?

If you have copy of the passport, you can take the dates from there. You will also need to provide color copies of passport within your eligibility period.
If you can not find copies of stolen passport, explain that in the submission letter.
