Query related to sponsor

I have a concern about my fiancée's ongoing Permanent Residency (PR) application. Despite having lived together for more than three years, we are not married. I am unsure if, in the future, her potential PR status might pose a problem for her to sponsor me, as we may not have declared as common-law. Given this uncertainty, would it be advisable for us to marry now and update her PR application before its completion?"

She needs to change her status to common law and add you to the application now.

Is it necessary as we are not married yet. Will it create any problems in the future or else we can tell that we were just living together as there 6 more friends I am living together with.
