you do not need any supervisor for course based prog i.e meng
please see the eligibility criterias of all the courses for which u will apply. also chose that courses which r related to ur field other it will affect for visa. visa officers rejects cases of course mismatch

Wahab, dats what i want to confirm regarding cOurse mismatch that my B.Tech is in electronics but i want to pursue course based masters in IT related stream on the basis of wrk experience of 2+ year in MNC .

Should I proceed or It might b a case of cOurse mismatch ?????

I have contacted the Electrical Engineering program coordinator in University of Alberta a couple of months back. She informed me that University of Alberta is not accepting MEng candidate for 2013 and 2014. This is the exact line I got from Nona McDonagh in June.

"At this time the department is not currently accepting any MEng applications for the 2013 or 2014 terms."

May be other departments are accepting admissions but Electrical Engineering is not accepting for sure.

yr i don't know y but i think there is a certain limit of post after which u will be allowed to send PM. i think limit is 15

Wahab, kindly confirm that UoA is nt accepting international students for M.Engg in any stream or only it is applicable for electricL dept. as mentioned by joji.

I am having good academic records including B.Tech in electronics with 74 % and more than 2 years of work exp in IT domain.
Confirm if i pursue course based masters i.e. M.Engg in IT from UoA , then there is Any course mismatch in my case ????

i do not know what u studied in b.tech. but i would suggest u go through u of a website and email them regarding course pre requisites and also about meng. they will reply u with in a day or two. do not hesitate in sending emails to them
