query regarding sponsorship

hello to all...I have friend who is permanent residence in canada.He want to sponsor me or he will ready to give surety to government in the form of agreement that he will support me.Is there any way or any program in which it will be possible(sponsorship or surety).I would be thankful for someones help.

he can sponser you for visit visa only, but his residntial statuts cant help you in your immigartion process. that wht i know. lets c the other opinion.

it's called family sponsorship (not friend sponsorship)

there's a set of guidance notes on CIC website plus a whole forum for the subject here at canadavisa.com
 
I think Manitoba PNP has sponsorships even by friends.

In order to get Sponsorship benefits you should be a family member not friend. And he is willing to sign a agreement because he knows that there is no sponsorship thing between friends.
