i am currently studying 2 years business management program (with Co-op) in Lambton college Toronto Campus, On, Canada. i am in Canada since 4 months. It has come to my notice that some of my classmates have got work permit along with study permit on their arrival in Toronto airport. however i have come to know that we get SIN number after completing 6 months of study. Till then we can't work in Toronto. But those student who have received study permit have gt sin number irrespective whether they have completed 6 months or not. i further looked into the matter and came to know that this work permit is been given on a random basis(i might be misinformed ), which is not documented anywhere in CIC. if that is the case then all those who haven't received the work permit (like me) feel that injustice is been done to them. i would appreciate if anyone has a amicable and justifiable answer to this.
