Query regarding LMIA Exemption and Express Entry

Hi Everyone,

I have a query regarding LMIA Exemption.

Currently I am in Canada and have a valid full-time job offer. It does state all information including the salary, wage per hour, information regarding full-time, etc.

Does this mean its LMIA Exempt? I have read in CIC that companies need we have to provide an LMIA exemption number. And this can only be done if the company initiates this process. Is it true?

Would a valid job offer be fine for me when applying for PR? I am within Canada. I have completed 2 years of Postgraduate certificate degree in Canada, have previous 3 years of work experience with IELTS score band of 7. What would you recommend? Without the job offer i just have 400+ points (not 430 or 440) which is the minimum I believe.

Sorry for the long questions. Thank you for your patience.

Hope anyone could assist me with this.

That means you are LMIA exempt but you cannot claim points for a job offer. In order to claim points, your work permit would need to name your employer or you would need positive LMIA.
Thank you for the quick reply. Is there any other way I could get points? I am right now in Ontario, do you think I should go for OINP? I had recently graduated from a college here and as mentioned earlier have got a job offer. I just wanted to know if this could be a way to increase my points. The fact is I need around 30 more points to get to the minimum qualifying score. If you have any suggestions then do please let me know. Thanks again.

If the job is skilled and you work in it for one year, then that should increase your points as you will get points for Canadian work experience. The other option is to try and increase your IELTS scores.
