Query regarding IELTS for Canadian Immigration

Hi All,

I have a query on below issue:
I have already got my provincial nomination from Saskatchewan last week of this month. If everything is ok I am expecting to get the ITA by next month. So hopefully I will be able to apply for permanent residence at early of October this year.

My IELTS is going to expire on coming 14th December'16.In this circumstance do I need to sit for another IELTS before the expiry date? Or it will be accepted as my existing IELTS is valid during my final application on October'16.

Please suggest me what to do..

As long as your IELTS has not expired on the day or before you submit your PR application , you should be fine.

Say, I will apply for PR on 5th Oct'2016.
My IELTS will be expire on 14th Dec 2016.
CIC will start to process my file on 20th January 2017.

Will it be okay then?

As far as I know once you submit and get AOR its all good. You will have AOR before 14th.

What matter is that your IELTS test results are still valid when you apply. It is irrelevant when they start processing your application.

The scenario you outline above is fine.

Actually I got confused with the IELTS results validity mentioned in the below link "cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/language-testing.asp"

Here they mentioned 12months validity of IELTS along with profile.

So is there any minimum validity period for IELTS after PR apply? Or there is no minimum validity period required, just it will be fine if I will be able to apply before the result expired.Doesn't matter if the result gets expired during their processing/verification of file along with the result.

Sorry to make you long reading. Your expert opinion is really worthy to me.In this case I will not sit for another IELTS exam which is a great relief for me.
