Hello, I am an international student in Canada and I am eligible for FSW Express entry stream. i had a few questions with regards to the same-
1. can i apply for express entry while being on student visa?
2. does the job description has to completely match the one given in ircc noc code description.
3. i currently have a job in canada, do i still need to show proof of funds?
4. i have a 3 years bachelors degree, should i get an ECA for the same to get additional points along with my masters?

Thank you!

1. Yes.
2. No, it doesn't.
3. Assuming you are still studying or on a PGWP and your employer has not obtained an approved LMIA, you must show proof of funds.
4. I don't know the answer.

I’m currently on a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) valid until 2026. I have two years of work experience in India as a Dental Assistant (2013-2016) and additional experience from September 2023 to May 2024, as I returned to India for health reasons.

Education:
• MBA from JNTU Hyderabad
• Post-graduate diploma in Digital Marketing (completed in Canada)

Work Experience:
. Dental assistant 2014 -2016& sep 2023 to May 2024.
• Talent Acquisition Specialist in India (2016-2020).

• No Canadian work experience yet

Am I eligible to apply through the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) stream? Is dental assistance as primary NOC is a good option?
Thank you!

Sure. If eligible for FSW with 67 points. Don’t expect an ITA until you have Canadian experience unless fluent in French.

May I know the significance of Canadian experience and is job offer in had (different Noc) is enough?

Well you get more points with a year of Canadian experience. Job offer gives no extra points unless on approved LMIA.

Makes sense but is it ok if I have the 67 points?
May I know your noc?
Do we need to show funds for inland application?

You can submit a profile now if you are eligible. For FSW with no Canadian work experience or LMIA, you show funds for number of people in your family.
