Hi All,

I am new user of this forum and need a answer regarding one of my query.

I wanted to apply for Canada Work Visa. I have post graduate (Master) degree in Engineering and also bachelor degree in Engineering. I want to verify my degree from WES Canada.

So I want to know do I need to send both Post Graduation and Graduation degree for verification or only post graduation degree is sufficient (since I believe if I have post graduation degree, its obvious that I have graduation degree also).

Tried to get this clarification from WES Canada, sent them mail 2-3 times but didn't get any logical responses from them.

Kindly reply me asap. Thanks in advance.

Saurabh,

Thanks for your response. So is Master Degree documents sufficient, no need to send bachelor degree.

Any affect or point system or anything?

I believe somewhere I read about similar guy where a guy clarified from WES and they said no need to send bachelor degree.

I would suggest you to send both. I have a couple of friends who got both their degrees assessed. There's no extra fees for this.

I have no problem to send both. Only issue is that there is big pain to get my bachelor mark sheets in a sealed envelop from my graduation university.

Master degree I can get easily since its from a reputed university and they have process for it. They will even send directly to WES, Canada (as they are also wiling to get directly from univ)

Like Sumit mentioned, I would try to get the transcripts from your Bachelors college as well. I can be a pain but I feel it is better to be safe than sorry.

And I have faced enough problems with WES to know what that can be like. I remember asking a counselor once and she said that the Bachelors degree verification is a must, even though it makes logical sense that you cannot get a Masters degree without a Bachelors.

Hope it helps!

Yes rainman and because of this confusion only till now I didn't apply for ECS. As I mentioned for Master degree, its just 5 min job for me, need to send money to my univ and they will do the needful, even will send my degree to Canada them self.

But for graduation, big pain and since WES not replying I am confused. Few people saying, no need to send Bachelor degree, few saying diff. not sure what to do.

Well, like they must have mentioned, since your points are calculated on your highest degree, it probably doesn't matter. Infact, if your case is anything like mine, they will probably only give you the Masters Degree validation only and ask you to apply with that. Mine stretched for months and I missed the cap deadline last year because of it. So you could take the chance.

Oh Rainman what happened in your case? Did you also send only Master's degree and did it impact you badly?

No, quite the contrary. I sent in both and paid for both of them. They sent only my Masters verification saying that "it was in the interest of time". I was a little stubborn and adamant as I did not want it affecting me adversely. So I kept asking for both evaluations and their customer service being like it is, it took me a few months to get the second one. In hindsight, it probably did affect me adversely. lol

yes their customer care is stupid. I sent them my query and they just gave standard reply which is on their FAQ that for ECS you need to send your mark sheets and degree in sealed envelop...lol... Seems they didn't read what I asked.

So should I take lesson from your case and send just Master degree. Some one here replied that he sent only Master degree.

I had the same issue....hence just got my masters evaluated. Got full points for masters degree when I created my EE profile as the ECA states I have Canadian equivalent masters degree...Their website also states you will get pts for only highest educational degree on your ECA....not for all the degrees/diplomas you get evaluated on your ECA....
