query regarding birth proof

hi

I want to provide 10th certificate as a birth proof.Do i need to send any other supporting document.

also

I have a birth certificate but it doesn't have my name on it so will that work instead.

any help will be highly appreciated

You can provide a government/tax document which has your DOB listed. Or You can also create one with a Notary from government authorities.

I am from India and i guess my 10th certificate should work as it has been issued by the central board of secondary education.

As per section 3.6 in the Application Guide, the requirement is given below

'Provide a copy of your birth certificate or an acceptable national document where an original birth certificate is not available (i.e., letter from appropriate government authority indicating why your birth certificate is not available).'

1. Please keep copy of the birth certificate with Letter of Explanation mentioning why the name has not been mentioned in it.
2. Since they also mention about acceptable national document, also keep copy of your Aadhaar Card/Voter's ID Card/PAN Card/Driving License
3. If any of the above documents need translation, please get it translated and notarized.
