Hi
I'm Shah from Bangladesh.

I've got a very unique problem :(

I'm a student from Bangladesh. I want to come to Canada to study Supply Chain Management, @Humber college. My father will be paying my tuition fees. But I'm super confused about the proof of fund options.

My father has good amount of money as Government Bond (this is known as Shanchaypatra/savingsbond in BD). My father was a Govt. officer that's why he invested a lot on those Government Bonds which are in amount of more then 15000CAD.

But he do not have much money in Bank Account(so i can not show any bank statement of 10000cad). In this case, Can i show my father's Government bond certificate (he can en cash them at anytime) as a Proof of Fund????

If not what is the best course of action? Can my father use those government bods and take a lone against it and can i then show the Bank Statement?

Pls advice. i'm in a great deal of confusion. I'll be applying for the January session. Running out of time. :-[
Thanks.

The assessing officer would prefer that the funds be more liquid, that is readily available. If you read through CIC Website particularly, the information on proof of funds, you will never find bonds. Like you had stated, it would be better your father
access an education loan on your behalf. Then, you can show evidence of the loan as proof of funds.

I hope this helps. You may make further consultations.
