Query CEC: Foreign Work Experience Question: ITA Received

Hi everyone :)

I have a query I am hoping someone can help me with,

I finally received an ITA last week but before proceeding with it I want to make sure everything is correct,

I previously lived in Canada and moved back to Ireland in September 2015 (My work permit had expired so decided to move back and get some experience and stay in the Express Entry Pool until I had the desired points). I had 446 points up until 1 January 2017 (My Canadian Noc Code work experience ranged from May 2013 to September 2015). I am currently working in Ireland since February 2016 which counts as foreign work experience and 38 points were added to my profile on January 1st meaning my points increased to 484. I was under the impression I needed one years foreign work experience also (Although I am not fully sure around this). So Basically I have completed 11 months in my current job and the system has awarded me the points.

I would just like to clear this up before I decide the best option (whether to proceed or decline). Any guidance is greatly appreciated on this please!

Thanks very much,

Jonathan :)

Yes, the system tends to allocate points for X years of work experience before actually completing them.

You should not submit your eAPR until you've actually completed your year of foreign work experience.

You'll hear mixed responses here but at the very least don't submit your application until EXACTLY 12 months has passed in your current job. So if you started work Feb 1st 2016 don't submit until after Feb 1st 2017. If you can submit it another week after that to be uber safe even better!

Cheers for the responses guys!

In all likelihood I wouldn't be able to submit the application until March 2017 (get all documents and everything together) anyway meaning my year would be completed by then but the ITA was received before then,

Slightly confused lol
