Query about Non refundable tax credits

I am in Canada on closed work permit and would be filing my taxes under 'Deemed Resident - Stayed 183 days or more'.
My family (wife and son) has never came to Canada.

My query is when I file my taxes(I am using UFile) I get Non refundable tax credits for them as well. Is this correct?

303 Spouse or common-law partner amount
367 Amount for children

Incidentally, your spouse could be considered a resident of Canada for tax purposes by virtue of your residency in Canada for tax purposes.
According to the following article, having a spouse in Canada is a primary tie to Canada, and can deem an individual who has a spouse in Canada to be a resident of Canada for tax purposes. http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/nnrsdnts/cmmn/rsdncy-eng.html
