query about Indian PCC :: The officials do not stamp the passport anymore !! :/

Did the officials stamp your passport ?

I went to psk today for receiving my pcc, they didn't stamp my passport.
When i asked for it, the officer said, " the passport is NOT stamped anymore for pcc" .

Is that ok as such ?? please reply !!

That is strange, My PP was stamped last month.

Passport marking is not mandatory for IRCC. If you have PCC from PSK, then you are good to go..

Yes i have received the pcc.

I just want to make sure that i m not the only one, who did not get the passport stamp.

I got my pcc done at the Indian embassy. They asked for the passport to be submitted, but did not stamp it. The pcc was however issued.

Honestly you should not be concerned if they aren't doing it. All CIC cares about is your report that says whether you have arrests/convictions or not. They should be least bothered about passport stamp that PSK puts. My understanding is that PSK/Embassy stamps your passport for their reference purposes.. like to know when you got PCC from them before as they don't want people coming every other day asking for it without genuine reasons.

Even my passport did'nt get stamped. How did it go after submitting. Did you get your PPR.

it depends and it is not that the rule has changed now-a-days - it has allways been the same - that is soemtimes they do stamp soemtimes they dont, some consulates do some dont - it does not matter - what you need is the police certifiate - not the stamp.
