Hello everyone. I recently got approved for a study visa and would like to apply for SOWP for my wife. I had some queries.
1) All the proof of our marriage other than obviously the Marriage Certificate should be attached in the SOP or it needs to be attached with the Marriage Certificate document?
2) To show funds she is using 6 months bank statement but should these be attested by the bank?
3) She runs a company in partnership with her dad, but her dad is only on paper. All funds belong to her, apart from the money she has in her personal account. Should she transfer the money as salary to her account or she can show company funds as proof of funds. If yes, then would she need a consent letter from her dad? That she can use the money however she wants?
She does have about $8000 CAD in her personal account apart from about $10000 CAD in her company bank account.
4) In any case, should we also attach her invoices from her clients as proof of income? She also freelances so there are some invoices raised by her personally as well.
Basically, she makes money as a freelancer as well as from her company. So what all do you people suggest the best we should do for proof of funds. (
5) We also have her Personal and Company Income Tax Returns. Should we attach those as Proof of Funds/Income?
6) We will also attach her company registration document which is basically proof of the existence of her business. But it is a document of about 10 pages. Should we attach the whole document in the SOP? Or just the first and last page where the important part is?
7) She has a 10 years US visitor visa till 2029 and she has visited US thrice in the last 10 years. Will this information help? Should we mention this in her SOP?
8) Now that you know her profile, any other tips to make her profile stronger would be great. We know approval chances are 50-50 but we want to take our chances as we don't want to live apart
That's it for now. I will dig the threads here for more information if it is already out there but that is going to be a tedious process. Hence it would be great if people can give some clarity to these questions. We are going to apply within a fortnight as soon as my POE is issued. I have confirmed with IRCC and I can apply with the POE. I also promise to share our whole process and outcome and to keep this topic updated.
Thank you so much
