My question is,

My wife has no income, she is a full time student, does she needs to proof her financial capacity?

IMPORTANT
If your undertaking is subject to financial requirements, you must demonstrate that you have,
and have had, sufficient financial resources to cover the basic needs of the principal sponsored
person and the members of his or her family, whether or not they accompany him or her, for at
least the previous 12 months, and that you will continue to have these resources for the entire
duration of the undertaking.

Referring to the # 12 in the form /A-1520-BA

If you read the Sponsor guide when filling your undertaking application, it doesn't mention the necessity to prove financial capacity when sponsoring your Spouse, de facto spouse or conjugal partner. For any other category (dependent child, grandparent...) you do have to demonstrate your financial capacity.
I (Canadian citizen) am also sponsoring my husband and I haven't been working at all since the last 2 years. I didn't send anything regarding my financial situation when I sent the undertaking application.
Just follow what the guide says it shouldn't be too hard
