Hey,

Right now I'm doing job at Quebec I have:
  • Quebec MIDI which is Quebec LMIA
  • My work permit still valid for another year
  • I have more than one year Canadian Experience

My question is: Can I use current Quebec MIDI in place of LMIA? Please note that I can live in Ontario and work in Quebec.

1. No.

Me in the same situation!!
But I think we can. Since we have a positive LMO

Hope this works

If you have a job and intended to work and live in Quebec, you are not eligible in Express entry. You have to go through Quebec's own system of immigration.

I just called them and they said if I intend to stay outside quebec i can use the current LMIA.

Thanks

Please can you share more details, to whom you have called & what they have replied.

If one has LMO approved Work Permit for Quebec location, can he apply under Express Entry & use LMO to gain points.

I called them ( CIC Call centre), and told them that I have an old LMO which is valid. I also informed that my LMO was for the job offer in Quebec.
The operator said that if I could prove ties to another province and convince later that my intentions are to stay outside quebec, I could use LMO for gaining the points .

Hope that this answers your question.

But How would you convince CIC that you plan to settle in another province. What ties would you show them ...

Also if you show them then this job offer & LMO will go waste & if you don't have another job offer from another province then it means that you don't have job at all, so why CIC would entertain your request ?

hi
i am also working in quebec on LMO based work permit and am confused to use lmo in express entry
can you please suggest what should i have to do??

Hello Sir,
Did you applied with this conditions for PR in Express Entry?
Can you please provide further details , it would be really appreciate.

Thanks.

Tthis might sound good.

They said that to me too. I guess more than 3 agents.

But my application got rejected in the end.

I had strong ties to Ontario and no attachment to Quebec.

So do not listen to them. Or when you ask them, as them for their agent ID and reference number for the confirmation.

I lost my 550 CAD and chance to get into other draws.

Now waiting for next draw at 471.

Hi,

Could you tell me what ties did you show with Ontario? I am in the same situation but I thought a letter from my employer stating that I could work for them from Toronto and a proof that I am looking for accommodation in Toronto would work. Also, my wife is being contacted by recruiters in Toronto would also help.
Please let me know.
