Just dropping a quick note for timeline references.

1 applicant, CSQ holder, Inland(Sydney office)

2021-04-26: Documents sent
2021-05-03: Documents received, Sydney NS
2021-06-08: Called, XEP # received
2021-07-03: XEP E-mail received
2022-02-11: AOR, Biometrics requested

- It took a long time to receive XEP email so I called first. They let me know XEP# on the phone first, then Email came in later in a month after the call. Guess they first assign each XEP# as the post comes in, then send XEP emails in bulk
- Currently out of Canada and updated current address of resident. Expected to be switched from inland to outland and slow progression. But seems like I am still treated as inland.

• February 9, 2022, You passed the medical exam.
• We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.

• We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

I sent my Federal Application in April 2020, when I was in Montreal, Canada. Now, I am in India. No news till now and not expecting any news in 2022.

They are committing a kind of crime by mentally harassing people especially outlanders. Shame on IRCC.

Who has any good tips for getting a human on the line at IRCC? I called at 7:59 attempting to hit the prompts right at 8A but the line was closed. Then I call right at 8 get through the prompts and they’re too backed up to even put me on hold? It’s like they’ve programmed the phone line not to receive calls. Any of the options guarantee a human? Would love to hear. Thanks!

I think best time is between 12 to 2 pm my call always went through during these hours you can try also.

I just got work permit extension, I don’t think they will review background again too long, but who knows.

I consider a ghost when I receive an email from them saying I have a message, but then I enter and cannot see message (I am too fast for them).
Or for example, I passed the medical exam the 25th of December, but they never sent me an email.. I found out in January just because I enter in the website.
Since there, I enter in my profile everyday expecting that gives a pop up on the agent hahaha

Guys,
Some good new for outland applicants (applied on august 2019) - they have just requested:
- medicals and some information update (police certificate, IMM 5669),
- they also requested "for additional evidence of intent to reside in Quebec, as per R86(2)(a), which may include but not limited to:
-Previous work/study in Quebec or French-speaking environment
-Family/friends in Quebec
-Previous visits to Quebec
-Other ties to Quebec".
What about the last request (evidence to reside in Quebec) and did anyone else received such a request?

What about outlands? Any news from somebody?
Is IRCC waiting outland applicants to die before finalizing their applications? At least this will help them to clear their backlogs.

A ghost update can also be when you sign into your GCKey account and find your application states “Profile Updated”, but when you click on your application, you find nothing there.
