Friends, I am in a bit of a serious situation back here in India and hence need to take some immediate decisions. Can you please help me with some answers as it will help me take some important decisions back here in India? I am requesting your immediate help as it may so happen that if things don't move now, I might have to give up after waiting for 7 years. So, kindly help if you can. My questions are:

1. Although CIC states that it takes 3 months to process the application after they receive the medical reports, does it really take 3 months? Are there applicants whose applications are taking or have taken more than 3 months? And I am talking only about the final phase (Medicals passed to PPR)

2. Can anyone also tell me what does CIC mean when they use the term 'process the application'?

3. I am seeing some applicants who have taken 23 months to receive the PPR while some who have received in 17. These are and may be from other countries too. There is one applicant who has just entered into his 22nd month and I guess he is from India. So, these days, what is the realistic average time for India?

My timeline is:

I am an outland applicant from India (Yesterday by mistake I replied Inland to someone)
Application Received: May 8th 2017
AOR: July 29th 2017
Medical Request: October 16th 2018
Medical Done: October 27th 2018
Medical Passed: October 31st 2018
Pre-Arrival Letter: November 30th 2018
Waiting for the further process

Looking forward to your replies. Thank you.

DON'T GIVE UP
you are at the final stage and the worst case your PPR will never exceed September 2019
Unless there is a gun on your head, you don't give up

We have also been in this process since the past 7yrs just like you, we did not even get pre-arrival letter after medicals and till now but we have not lost hope, we are being positive and keeping busy with other things till PPR comes.

Processing time for everybody varies irrespective of the country. As at January 8th 2019 or so the processing time was increased to 19months, so let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best, but i will please advice where you are right now is not as far as where you are coming from in this process.

Keep the faith and be strong, please dont back out at this stage.

Anyone has an idea about the average processing time for Sydney Visa office ?
The current average processing time for all Visa offices around the globe is 19 months for Quebec skilled workers.

However, some visa offices on a case to case basis finalize applications faster than the average processing time.

I hope that I could answer your question to your satisfaction.

Dear adeboyeadejobi,

Thank you so much for your encouragement. You are right. There are many like me who are in fact much behind in the process but are still standing strong. I should not give up, not at this stage. Its just some personal reasons why I started thinking of this. However I assure you that I will pull on. Thank you once again!

Is this normal?
January 2018 application received
August 2018 MR received and I assume also passed.

I'm just worried about the review of eligibility because it's still there. Is this normal?

We are kind of persons who see the obstacles as the way
We are The type of persons who have a goal and they never stop getting ahead towards making the dreams real.
We never give up
I salute you for that too
