Hi

Yesterday i got my PR as i applied for quebec skilled worker program. But my date of expiration is given as just four months.
Its a short duration for me to move with family. as i need to plan the trip and resign my current job after serving three months notice period.
I got PR after a period of 5 years and suprised to see the expiry which is just four months.

what is the solution for this? Can i get this extended by any chance?
Can i land and stay for a week and come back to INDIA? If i come back then till what time the PR will be valid?

Appreciate your response

First of all congrats for your PR application..
Short answer of your question.
That any how reached your destination without fail of timeline as no extension of this else you missed the train and again start process .
And once you entered the Canada you have your PR card with you to re enter in Canada ..
PR card will hand over to you by 1 two three months .. mind it ..
Your validity of PR mention on your visa stamps ..
Thanks .

You mean once i land in Canada, I may get PR card at any time and it may take one two or three months?
what is the average duration of getting PR card?

The information you're looking for can be found here:

and here

Basically, you're supposed to provide a Quebec address when you land. The PR card will be mailed to that address after (according to current processing times) 58 days. If you do not provide an address at the time of landing, you should update your Quebec address within 180 days of landing (instructions are shown in the first link). Your PR card will be sent to that address then.
