Since I am out of Canada, I placed a request on 2nd Aug via a 3rd party.

Well. I used to think same but .....
My first GCMS request ( 2nd June) did not cause any flutter.
My file was reviewed on 14th Aug and second GCMS notes show requested date as 22nd Aug.

So , i think their is no correlation between file's progress and GCMS/ATIP request.

@kikou well, I got myPPR on 27th July. I sent my passport on 2nd Aug & Reached on 4th Aug.
Now waiting for return Tracker activation. As I dont know how long it takes to get the passport.
Any idea..??

Notes will cost you 40 CAD ( assuming you are out of Canada and will need to use 3rd party) and you will get these in 4-5 weeks. Does not affect your application process but will give you "inside" info on how your application is progressing.

I do see some progress since last GCMS notes. My file was thoroughly reviewed on 14th Aug and all documents were checked.

Medical Request was sent.
Eligibility was set to Recommend Passed. It appears that Eligibility will be set to passed after CIC receives medical results.
Work Permit ( now expired) was checked. I see a note "all applicants in status".
Marriage Certificate was checked.
Passport validity was checked.
Schedule 5 - Intent to reside in Quebec was checked and a note was added - "No residency concerns"
CSQ validity was checked.

Last update timestamp shows that file was moved from some virtual location "QC Inventory" to another virtual location "QC Pending"

I am still not sure why Security is still not started.

I moved out of Canada before my work permit expired.

No. I did not try. I was in Canada for a temporary 1 year assignment.

i am from Iran, and after 2 years waiting for interview i received my CSQ in interview via Phone.
now it is about 3 month that we have not received any federal file.
my friends are waiting for Visa about 500 days .
no Visa, No federal File.
i want to know this problem is for Iran, or another country in middle east have the same problem
is any one know what is the problem?
