Hello Guys, A quick update:
Background check status got changed from " We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information....Blah blah blah....." TO "Not applicable".. So I Hope its "Not Applicable" in a good way... Usually how long it takes to get DM and PPR from this point?
@Macarad : Did you got any status update?

Hi!

I'm sorry, i must have missed this message and did not realize you had tagged me.

My status is still "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." This was the status even before they asked me for my PCC... i am not really sure since when it appeared like that, I think around the beginning of april. I am guessing it is because they started checking out my travel info before asking for my PCC... i hope...

It never switched to "Not applicable" or anything similar..

PCC was requested to me on may 2nd... i still don't have it, unfortunately. I hope the authorities back home send it soon...

We'll be in touch! @HereforPR

Hey guys,

We are near the end of the month... so according to our theory, we might start getting updates near the end of this week and all through the following one.... Best wishes for everyone!

It's sounds weird... like it's a lottery or something, hoping that this month your file will get be among the "lucky"one getting updates...

Anyway, best of luck!

Let's hope for the best. On the flip side, is there any timeline or sign for us to realize that this ain't gonna happen? I mean the new online system was supposed to make things quicker but this "waiting for treatment" status is really making me frustrated :(

You are in wrong thread. All the posts in this thread are from people that already got CSQ and already applied for Federal PR.

Oh ok. Sorry my bad as am new here. So which thread should i follow? I got into the 5,000 applicants in August 2016, paid the first tranche payment. Updated the profile as requested few months back and now having the status I mentioned earlier. Thanks in advance.

Dear Experts,

I have recently got VISA and CORP. But now I am not in a position to relocate. It is possible to enter Canada for couples of days and finish the formalities and return home immediately?
My plan is to collect PR cards from friends who lives in Montreal by FEDEX. What will be the consequences?

I have read about people doing this and seems to be normal thing .. Fron where are you traveling btw and how much time did it take for your COPR to come back to you after passport submission

You can follow "Quebec Applicants Let's Share Experience". Once you get your CSQ & then you will be in the federal stage , thereafter you may follow this thread . Hope this helps . All the very best for the future

Received my GCMS/CAIPS notes today.

My application is stuck on Criminality: In Progress. My best guess is that this is due to my late submission of PCC ( after AOR).

Dorian, dancingfrog, lewisxaing, QS2017, itsjap89 and Bestocoto ( others guys with delayed MR)

Did you submit your PCC alongwith application or after AOR?

After AOR.

I guess you don't need to land immediately after Visa. two of my friends went to canada 6 month after their visa.

It is completely fine. Make sure they do not request a new picture for your PR.
