Thanks a lot! Well on the basis of your answers I guess now that I have already received the CSQ 
and the fact that the process is in its final stages I better not take a risk of restarting the process.

Well basically that depends on how desperate you are to land in Canada but yeh since your federal is already kicked off and if you are ok to wait then ..it looks to be hassle free option ...

With regard to this important issue that I have two children in school and they should be there at least one month earlier than September to go to school, Can I prepared tickets to come to Canada for two future months.
Given that, I had sent my documents in 19-May-2016 to get federal file. I received my federal files after 128 days in 24-Sep-2016, and you started processing my application on 4- October- 2016. Today is 208 days to wait for my visa, Overall 336 days that I am waiting.

12 months after my medical exam I did not get my visa request yet. so tired of all process. or medical will expire in 10 days and still waiting

Hello i got my CSQ in June 2016 and i applied for federal in the month of August and got my file number in November 2016.
I got an update in MY CIC account in the month of February saying that my application status is on hold. NO NEWS AFTER is there any way to figure out if there is anything wrong in my file?

My CIC still says background checks are not yet started .. does it mean they are doing it slow compared to normal process flow.. there is no real way to find out....

Your status is very strange. Normally, for the inland applicants, the BC change to BCIP before the medical request (besides UCI)
