My PR application was delivered around the last week of February. Up until now, I still cannot link my application to my CIC account. Is it still true that not everyone can link their app to the CIC account?

Sometimes you can't even link the application till medicals.

How come some people are getting MR in 10 days of AOR and some for several months? Is it dependent on visa office? Or the medicals are not needed for those who did not receive yet? :)

It is dependent on the visa office and the assigned officer. There is always a queue. As for the background check, it is correct that the police certificate need to be validated in addition to other regular check which CIC perform using international law enforcement.

Now with regards to EE, CIC does commit to complete the application within 6 months however it does not mean that it will always be the case. Complicated cases and delays can affect that target.

Hi All.
Just had few questions..
1. Is it mandatory for PA to land first or dependent can also land without PA
2. What is PA is she and wants to give birth to a child in Canada, I mean after VISA she come to know she is 2-3 months pregnant.. does she need to inform CIC or can land if pregnancy is not visible. I mean if we inform CIC will the delay the process, or she can tell the intention that she wants baby to be born in Canada...

Please let me know... :) 8)

It seems Nova Scotia take more time in processing ..i am not sure why they delay inland applicants ..folks are already here..:-)

1. PA has to land first. Dependents can accompany PA or can land later.
2. Even if pregnancy is visible , PA can land without issues.
