Congrats to VIC and others who got their PPR.

I just have one question. I have a cousin who is a USA Permanent Resident. He applied for PR canada but did not inform in his application that he has USA PR, as he does not want to lose it and his wife is american citizen.

I would like to know, is there a way that CIC will know he is a PR of USA, during his background check?

Please advise if someone has gone through similar situation.

App. Filed: Sept 21, 2015
AOR Received: Jan 11, 2016
Med's Request & PR fees request: May 20, 2016
Med & visa fees done/paid: June, 2016
Status change to "Decision Made": Dec 9, 2016

I'm following people with AOR received in March this year. I believe that the PPR-CoPR are being received around 280 days after receiving the AOR (see tables posted in this thread).

Hi,
Its gonna be a serious offense, as far I know. And, eventually, they are gonna figure it out during the background check!
Anyway, its under the falsification of the personal information, it may cause the fraudulent identity issue! This kind of issues may ban someone for the next couple of years...!

Well, its my understanding.. you may consult with someone expert on immigration affairs. Btw, I am not trying to create panic, just pointing out that everybody should be careful on these kinds of issues.
