Prime Minister Trudeau suspended everything to accommodate Syrian refugees. 30K Syrians being processed for Permanent residence since November 2015 till date....and the number keeps increasing. Maybe the Skilled Worker Category time-frame will move up to 2 or more years.

I dont think so. Because SW category is importent then that. Maybe they are waiting for new rules which will come next Nov.

Quick question about passport:

I got my AOR just a few days ago. Considering the time line, I expect all will finish in 2017.
My kid's passport expires in 2018. Would it be better to update the passport to have enough period left?
A photocopy of passport was enclosed in the application. So I'm not sure I'd better keep the existing one.

Maybe New rules will be new quote will publish and speed up the family reunification procees and easyer the international students PR.

If you have received AOR just chill. If everything is good you might be getting the Passport stamped by mid next year. Their requirement is 6 months validity. But if by June next year you haven't received PR you might get new pp and submit together with about to expire one. They will decide on which to stamp. That's my 2 cents. Get other suggestions before making an informed decision. Mine expires Jan 2018 and i am still at AOR level as well.

I saw a few mates here who didn't get AOR yet although file had been delivered in May.

Thanks for the info about 6 months. Can send both old and new passport but the old one won't be valid anymore. To prevent abuse they make punch holes on old one marking invalid.

Hi Everyone..

I have received CSQ and I am about to apply for PR to federal in few days . I have few queries . I would be thankful if you can help in anyway.

1. which CSQ number we use in IMM008 ? (Individual reference number or file number )

2. Do we need to show any funds in bank ?

3. I am from India. Which document I should submit for National Identity document ?

4. I applied for CSQ in 2014. After that, I applied for Visitor Visa in 2015 which was rejected. Now, it's asking me whether i was ever rejected in one of the forms. Will that impact to my PR application now ?

5. Should I use the UCI which I received in my visitor visa file or I should keep it as blank?

Hello everyone, I linked my application through the cic web page without having AOR... that means they wont return my application if there's something wrong?
