thanks for reply
yes CIC received my file and signed.

But when I called CIC ... they have no data about my file.

It is strange that they could find anything, I doubt the chance that they get your file compeletly lost after receiving it inside the office. Maybe they just put them in the mountain of applications and no time to open it at all.

Good day one and all,

It seems that it takes eternity when we reach this stage in the process. Hoping that February will be an active time for this forum with receiving correspondence for medical request and passport request.

Lets all be positive for the month of February2016.

Thank you for your wishes and hope everyone get good news soon

Hello all,

Just have this dilemma. I am very interested to visit Canada before receiving Permanent Residence.

However, is it possible that visiting Canada on a Temporary Resident Visa before obtaining Permanent Residence Visa negatively affects Permanent Residence application? could it negatively affect the decision?

Also read on some other post that if you do this (entering Canada on a Temporary Resident Visa before obtaining Permanent Residence) you must notify the Visa Office whithin 6 months of the visit. Do anyone know how you inform VO that you visited Canada? Do you send them a letter via Regular Mail? E-Mail? Which details should we include?

Thanks in advance for your help. It would be extremely useful for me to visit Canada before settling there, but have these doubts.

Any input will be much appreciated.

Good day all!

Any advice please?

Hello my friend, as I know whether or not you apply visa would not effect your PR, and neither you are granted or refused by CIC would also not effect your PR decisin making. About your second question, I never heard you need to inform them, because your visa is issued by CIC and your PR officer would easily access such record if they want to check. I applied PR with my wife still in China, and I also plan to apply visitor visa for her before receiving PR very soon.

Hi All

I received for the Medical Check on 30 Jan 2016

Thank God

I am facing issue of DCS Administrative penalty. Dont know why can anyone plz help.
it showing this error:

Le formulaire « Renseignements sur l'identité » a été enregistré.

Par contre, vous ne pourrez pas soumettre votre DCS car vous faites l'objet d'une sanction administrative.

Translation:The form "Information on the identity" has been recorded.

By contrast, you will not be able to submit your DCS because you made the subject of an administrative penalty.

Hello,sandeep86. when and where did you send your aplication?

PA- is Principal Applicant...

Hi All,

One query. Is it necessary that after getting the visa, to land in Quebec, the Principal Applicant should accompany us? Is it not possible, for the spouse to land with the visa without the Principal Applicant (PA). If so, how long it is needed for the PA to be along with the spouse? Is it 2-3 weeks? Or more.

The query is because, my wife is a Principal Applicant and the idea we have is, one of us, (mostly me), can go and look out for a job and then after getting a job, transfer the family.

Does anyone, have any idea around this?

PR visa does not have a dependent class stamped on your passport. As long as visa is valid the bearer can enter even in the absence of principal applicant.
