Congrats thunderbirds I have just done my medical on 26 August I hope we will here good news soon pray for us we ar a family of 5 our application is going fast too we applied for federal March 15 received AOR July 4th medical request 20th August but did not receive the landing fee payment letter yet .

The process is getting faster now since they are taking some precise applications and they rejected too many old ones .. so you should receive something soon ..

Dear all my friends!!!
I have received the letter from CIO today. I don't know it is AOR or not, it gives me the UCI No and the Application No: EP...
I think it is AOR but I can't check my application online. Anyone knows, please share your experience!!
My application is QSW, and after got CSQ, I send my file to CIO for PR, it reached to CIO on 7 July 2015.

Hello ken2011 .. congrats for your AOR .. don't worry, they need about a week minimum to update their online website and include your info ..
Until then, if you try to check on your file, the system won't find anything .. this is normal and it happened to me ..

That's incredible. Even with priority occupation/training, it took Tbird 4 years to get the CSQ. Of course every case is different and may be the geographical factors played a role here.

AMR2011 .. I am majored in Computer Science .. and this is what I have on my CSQ:

Code 180 - Case vise par traitement prioritere ..

So my AOT is in priority!

However CIC received my file on 26th February 2015 and gave me AOR on 26th June 2015. But up till now, there has not been any correspondence. Not even medical request.

I guess country of origin plays a role and there might be stringent security checks and stuff for applicants belonging to specific countries.

But we have already been background-checked in the CSQ application by the government of Quebec, why would the Federal government repeat that? After all, it appears that obtaining CSQ doesn't affect the Federal stage processing except for not submitting some documents.

You are right. Federal stage is doesn't care how CSQ was received. though correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure Immigration Quebec does not do background checks. It leaves this to Federal government. I forgot to mention in my previous post that I am also a Computer Science Graduate. Actually Masters in Computer Science from Montreal/Quebec. So it is not AOT as well.

Now, immigration Quebec doesn't ask clearance certificates, but I think this has nothing to do with background check, doesn't it? Are you sure they don't do background check?

Quebec will not do background check. If they did, they would ask for PCCs from all countries you have lived in. They only decide whether they want you or not based on a variety of other factors. Then they let CIC deal with medical, security and background checks.

No, they do not. Security and background checks are done by the federal government. Québec merely ensures that you meet the academic/linguistic/work related requirements to immigrate. In return, this step is not repeated by CIC anymore. All they check is your background and your state of health. That's it.

received CSQ on Aug 13 2015


I have collected all the necessary documents & filled them up .But there are doubts in
1)Generic Application form for Canada IMM0008FRA_2D ---> I have updated my information & my spouse in this document . However my query is Can i add my Father and Inlaws information here . They are not coming to Canada Now.But later they would visit .Should I add them here in this document only ?
2)statutory declaration of union IMM5409 - Is this necessary if you are married .The reason i ask This document is for common law partner


Please help at the earliest .
