Good day to all.. I just got my CSQ without interview and im planning to get married end of this year.. Does it affect my ongoing application for The VISA? I hope anyone here can answer my concerns.

How long does it take to sponsor a person like your (future) wife ( = for her to get the PR status)?

It depends on the country. Since my wife resides in Pakistan, her file will go to London office (as currently all processing of Pakistan VO is being handled by London VO). The processing time for London VO is 2 [Assessment of Sponsor] + 28 = 30 months

Its the same. So in a nut shell, getting married after CSQ and before PR has no added value. It actually delays the principal PR application.

Oh, I see. I was counting on this all the time, that after I get my PR, I will get married and bring my wife here. But things don't seem that easy time-wise, do they? Can I at least bring her to Canada as a visitor to stay with me until she gets her PR?

The country which your wife belongs to/currently resides, does the processing time for that country a lot? Also what is your current status in Canada ? You may apply for your wife open work permit if you are on a work permit with a skilled job.

first time posting on this forum.

Oman based applicant here (Omani national), VO is Abu Dhabi.

Below is my timeline on ecas:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on January 13, 2015.
2. We started processing your application on June 11, 2015.

Received my CSQ from Abu Dhabi on December 12, 2014
Federal application received in Sydney, NS on January 13, 2015
Medicals/RPRF request received on July 20th, 2015
Medicals submitted on August 8th, 2015 via e-medical
FBI clearance/RPRF receipt/medicals paper confirmation received by Abu Dhabi office on August 12th, 2015

Anyone else here have Abu Dhabi as their VO? Just wanted to get a rough time frame of how long after the medicals might I expect further communications.

What option should I select under :: Area of training :: (Should I select something related to IT or Electrical Engineering) . I am confused as I am working in Information Technology for past 11 years however I have done bachelors in electrical engineering .

I have an open work permit now, but after I get my PR, my status will change by then. I am not married, but I am thinking to get married after I get my PR. How can I bring her with my status PR to Canada, and do the PR sponsorship application here in Canada?

My Application status moved from "Application Recieved" to "In Process".

And when i clik on it, a third line appears like "We started processing your application from Aug 21,2015".

What does this mean? Has the Application reached the concerned VO?

What is the next step?

You'll probably get a communication sooner or later from the VO to undertake the medical exams, and pay the right of permanent residency fee.

When I got the status changed to "we started processing you application from...", it took about a month for them to get back to me and asked me to do what I just mentioned.

Congrats AMR2011 ... You should get now your Medical Exams Request and the Permanent Residency Fees as well ..
Thank god my case lately was a bit faster than everyone, so I got my medical exams request and the permanent residency fees after just 1 week from the application in process status .. but I have friends who are still waiting for that and it's been for more than a month now ..
So the answer you should get these forms but not sure when .. (give it between 1 and 3 months I say)

Hi guys I received AOR mail from Rabat visa office. I am from Cameroon and my VO is Darka which I filled in the federal forms. Rabat has shorter processing time; but will my file subsequently be transferred to Darka? Seniors please respond.

Now, Rabat is processing files but it's Dakar wich stamps visas.

When I called MIDI recently they told me that they posted my CSQ by post on 13th August 2015 to my permanent address which is in Karnataka state. I have been waiting for the same to receive since then. Could anybody tell me that how many days does it takes to receive CSQ by ordinary post from Montreal to India?

MIDI people told, It takes 4-6 weeks to deliver to my address. Your reply is highly appreciated.
