It's for inland applicants. Is that helps in speeding up process ?

I'd say no, I'm already past 1 year in my application, and nothing indicates that my application has even been touched since February.

I believe there is nothing that will speed up the process, it is pretty constant unless there are things that will slow it down :p (unfortunately, it looks like some of those things include nationality of certain countries, and language proficiency checks by MIDI for PEQ applicants)

Hi @Globulito. I'm an outland applicant from Venezuela and my VO is also Mexico.

My timeline:
Application received: September 28, 2016
AOR: January 23, 2017
Started processing application: March 10, 2017
MR: July 5, 2017

I completed my medical exams on July 10th 2017 and my CIC changed to "You passed the medical exam" approximately 2-3 days after that. No new information since then. Just when I thought I was getting close to a DM, reading your post made me realize I'm not there yet.

Please keep me posted if anything changes. Thanks for sharing!
Of Course bro. My BG changed in October 20. Nothing more

Thank you, Betula for clarifying. Looks like it's a standard update they place after sending the AOR and before the next update

Totally agree with what Betula said ...haven't seen that status is proportional to speed of processing ....

During the federal stage, do they still check your French? I though that was covered by the CSQ process. Man, I did not practice my French that much after my test....

Quelle !! Vous n'avez pas pratiqué le français. L'homme, oubliez le stade fédéral, ils demandent le français même pendant le processus d'atterrissage.

Thank you poisonapple for clarifying... For June 2017 applicants the next update should be in Feb or March 2018 on Medicals then

Lolz. No. I was lying. CIC and CBSA is not interested in your French skills.
Buddy, you almost gave me a heart attack. I just about to dig out all my French books.
You have been very helpful in this forum, I was so sure that you were serious about this....

Kuso to you~

May I ask another question? What is the process after DM? I know the general like PPR within 3-4 days, then ~30 days for VISA and then landing. But I saw some people were also requested to provide additional information before PPR? What can they be ask for? I'm expecting DM/PPR in Dec, but I also have trips planned, not sure how can I fly without a passport for a month....

Hi, for anyone curious about the changes of BG check and medical status and its meaning, check out the link below I found from another discussion thread:

Hi Everyone, I am new here. My situation is as follows:
Application received 18 Nov 2016
AOR: 21Feb 2017
MR: 12 Oct 2017
Passport requested: 16 oct 2017
Medicals done: 17 oct 2017
Passport sent:21 oct 2017
Arrived VO: 24 oct 2017.
However, the mail requesting my passport stated that "for operational reasons they may not be able to issue my visa before Jan. 2018", hence adviced that I wait and do medicals in January and submit my documents. The same mail asked me to do my medicals and submit my passport within 60 days otherwise my application be rejected.

Has anybody witnessed this same situation? Please, kindly share your experience.
Thanks

Few Visa Offices do this around year end. Not sure why your VO is asking you to take Medicals again.
