Hey guys,

What is the next process after medical test and RPRF?
They have asked me to send some information through common document request email, in which they also suggested to pay the RPRF fee earlier. After receving this email, I have also received medical request with two days. My application details have been updated in medical section as passed. I heard that they will make a request to pay RPRF but in my case I already paid based on the common document request email. So what is the next stage in my application process? Any idea? My timeline is in my profile information.

The next step here is background check. Did its status change from not needed to in progress? When the background check is completed / passed, it is the time when they reach a final decision.

Thanks for your reply. BAckground check shows NOT STARTED. What do they do in background check? I have submitted all police clearance certificates. Is there anything they do extra? How long they take it to do that?

Based on what I read, they will validate all the PCC that you shared and they also run your name and details with international law enforcement agencies. Once a BC (Beckground Check) starts, it can take from 3 to 12 weeks. The time is based on my observation from different cases, so it is only an indication and not a reference.

I have a friend who send his medical April 2016 and paid the RPRF with application fees back in Sept 2015. Yet no answer for his COPR. Anyone similar to his case, please advise. BTW his outside applicant.

It can take up to 4 months if not more, some have already passed 12 months. It depends on the visa office where the application is being processed. There is no unified formula, only indications.

I would advise your friend to request GMCS note if it has been more than 13 months since his application was received by CIC. The 13 months is current average processing time of QSW.

in 14.12.2016.I paid the pr fees in 21.12.2016

I am from Egypt , I sent my application for permanent residence on May
they sent my UCI number on July , i did my medical results have been received on September and waiting till date
my office is Ottawa , my sautes is in process
i would like to know why they took all this time , please answer me they took one year processing time starting from receiving my file or my medical results ??
is any one his condition as me ?

Congrats A minor correction, its 70 working days and it is below the recent average of 90 working days.
