Congrats dear. Please share your story. You basically received MR 13 months after AOR right? This is a very very long processing time. Why is ADVO this slow? Do they have any issues with Canada??? Lol

Hello MWQ,
can you please share with us from where you got this info concerning the Quebec quota?
Logically once you do your medicals and you pass along with paying the RPRF the VO shall consider you for the VISA even if the BG is not finalized, otherwise most of the cases will redo their medicals.

This what I collected & understand from the forums I participate with, I do hope that i am wrong & there might be some indications that I am.

It shouldn't have any impact at all, unless you have any remarkable disease. You can ask the panel physician after the medical exam if you have any countable medical situation. If they say clear, then you are clear. It totally depends on the medical report.

Here is my timeline:

Visa Office......: Sydney, NS
App. Sent.......: October 28, 2015
App. Filed.......: November 3, 2015
AOR Received.: March 02, 2016
Med's Request: May 10, 2016
Med's Done....: May 13, 2016
RPRF Req.......: June 02, 2016 (got the request from Ottawa office, Paid on the same day)
Passport Req..: ?
VISA ISSUED..: ?
LANDED.........: ?


As its taking insanely long time, I call them recently and they said there is no flag on my file and I need to wait just. And so I am waiting in the middle of nowhere for last few months!

But I have another issue. My passport is gonna expire on April 2017. And I know that my passport should have at least 6 months of validity to get the PR visa stamped. Now:
1. I called CIC 2months back and they agent took my file number and said no prob at all. I explained my passport expiry situation to him and he said, as we (me n my spouse) are the inside Canada applicants, there might not be a problem. He also said that he saw exceptions for the inside applications that CIC issued PR visa if the passports have less than 6 months expiry time (like 4 or 5 months). So it was a hope for me.

2. I called CIC last week, this time, the agent again confirmed me that I don't have any flag on my file and need to wait up to 13 months just. I asked him again regarding the passport situation and he said, It must be valid for at least 6 months, NO EXCEPTION!!

Confused!!! Frustrated!! Should I send my passport for renewal or believe the first agent. Do anyone had this kind of situation before?

Is it possible to renew the passport? I think that's a good idea to do so when the passport's expiry date is coming soon. It's going to grant you mobility and some convenience for sure. I got mine renewed before I started the immigration process.

I recently renewed my passport old one expires march 2017 and now I have a new passport which is valid for 10 years, So I have a new passport no since i renewed, The new one has old passport no as a record that my old passport no was so and so.

Do I have update my newly renewed passport, Please do let me know guys.
