2) In progress by CBSA
3) Favorable/Defavorable

If the status doesn’t change from Received to In progress within 24 hours, instead of automatic search in CSIS databases, the screening will be subjected to manual review by an analyst and this will take eternity... Having SII Indicator: Yes (probably redacted) in the GCMS notes garanties manual review. Once CSIS is done, the status would change* to In progress by CBSA and it would be up to them to finish the security screening and send the conclusion to IRCC.

Over 2 months waiting the additional docs submitted.

Timeline so far:
Submitted Oct 1st
AOR Dec 16
Invitation to pre-arrival services on Dec 24
Biometrics done Dec 30
Medical passed Jan 7
Requested additional docs Feb 13
Submitted docs Feb 18
We are reviewing the additional documents you provided. Feb 20

No news after that.

The additional doc requested was my military history so I guess they are thoroughly checking my background or I was pushed back to the end of the line...
All I can do is wait now...
Average processing time at IRCC is 9 months so can't complain, it's been a little over 6 for me.
Still no news!…

Processing times on the website says 9 months, when does that start to count? After submission or AOR? I want to ask for an update but no point in asking before the normal processing time is exceeded.

You most likely entered the comprehensive background check on February 20th so I don’t think we’ll have any news for another year… Mine started February 12th, 2025.

Oh boy…
How do you know that? GCMS notes? What makes you think that this will take another year?

GCMS notes is the sure way to know! Of course it’s purely circumstantial - personally I haven’t seen anybody clearing it quicker than 9 months and that was before the layoff at CSIS. One case I saw yesterday: ADR military history Feb 2024, P1 May 2025…
