A ghost update today.

  • We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

I thought Back ground check is not necessary for QSW. Has someone experience this?

I actually had the same update yesterday. I was surprised as well, did it changed for QSW? I mean, there are being lots of changes but I'm not aware of it. We do give the police reports so it's expected they do some checks.

Congratulations! Does everyone need to do a medical exam? I thought it wasn’t mandatory for everyone. Did you come to Canada as an international student? If yes, did you have to do a medical exam before coming?

Yes, everyone. Unless you did one if you came to Canada before, there are some exemptions

yes, I came to Canada as an international student. I did my last medical exam 7 years ago before entry to Canada. They ask me to do again medical exam. if you do recently probably they will not ask you to do again.

Yeah, if your medical exam would be less than 5 years old, then they could use it (the decision is up to officer), but since it’s 7 yrs old, then you definitely will have to pass a new one.

I have a question for somebody who perhaps had the same or similar situation.

We submitted our PR application on September 19th, today our application was returned to the portal as we included the CSQ approval letter and not the actual CSQ's at the time of filing. We uploaded the CSQ's and resubmitted the application. Will this affect the processing time as we should have been getting the AOR but now are not sure if we are at the back of the queue again?
Any feedback will be valued, thank you!

Ah, that's not good. Yes, it will be put back in the queue. As far as I know (AFAIK), you will need to wait another 2 to 3 months to get the AOR. Hopefully, you will receive it soon.

Yes it will. You’re back at the bottom of the list unfortunately. I made exactly the very same mistake. Submitted on June 21, 2024 with CSQ approval letter but my application was returned on August 15, 2024. Submitted again on September 6, 2024 with CSQ and got AOR on December 2, 2024.

Patience my friend, you’ll get there eventually!

You are correct. I made the same mistake and I waited for 3 other months to get the AOR.

I am so frustrated but I guess it has to be accepted. I replied to the email from CIC Nova Scotia to say it was re-submitted but not holding much hope.
Did you re-sign the forms as it said in the letter that signatures must be 90 days or less? I only saw it after I resubmitted but I checked and we are around 80 days so it is ok thankfully.
