Might be some internal update but its always good to have ghost update....you can call agent tomorrow and ask status on security / criminality and they can advice..

First one in the facebook group received an official email asking him to link his request with his IUC & he can link it without official AR &
XEP

The facebook post reads that he never got his XEP number but this was the first response he got since he sent his application. I do not think his case is similar to the rest of us who got XEPs. Unless someone with an XEP gets a official mail we cannot rejoice.

She has mentioned that she has changed the address and probably her XEP went to the old address as some of them recd it by mail as well

That is possible,,,, outland applicants are being treated as expendables.....
Did you receive pre-arrival letter? Try calling them asking for any update? Order GCMS notes.

How long did it take to receive your PR card?

Less than a month. I thought it will take long due to covid, but less than a month !!. I sent the COPR and photos to Montreal visa office. Received the cards via CanadaPost.

One of my friend is getting transferred to Montreal! I just want to know that carrying an educational transcript (Undergraduate Degree) right now is going to help in future for PR/PNP Application?

Is it possible for him to get his educational credential evaluation before the PR/PNP application?

Your friend is perhaps getting into one the greatest mistakes in his/her life. May I suggest your friend to stay away from Quebec for immigration purposes. Living & working in Quebec is ok, but do not go thru the immigration process in Quebec. Some people blames MIDI for the delays, some blames Federal for the delays. But eventually you are the one who is affected by it.

If the discussions in this forum about delays and screw ups by the anti immigrant CAQ govt and MIDI of Quebec is not proof enough, what else can be ?

As advised by a lawyer to my friend that the number of files without an AOR after mid July 2019 are 30 k+ and probably all of them would get an AOR by mid this year, then there's inventory of pre July 2019 which federal would try to dispose in next few months. He says finalization of 30k+ files may extend beyond 2022. However in-between there maybe some random picks just to assuage the anxiety of masses. A few copr would raise hopes of masses at large just like XEP has done for the moment. A duration of 3-4 years from submission to finalization shouldn't be surprising.

I believe those "random" picks will include many candidates from France. I know a few people from France who applied after me, but they got their PR before me.

I'm told that France and QC have a special arrangement so French candidates get more priority. I'm not sure though. Just sharing my knowledge.

There is not a priority base on the country of the applicant at the federal level.
