Hold your passions!!! your journey is about to end successfully. Good luckThank you
I am outland applicant from Nepal.
But still no PPR email .
Congrats.... Finally......all the best!I just received PPR. You'll find my timeline below (Inland PEQ applicant):
APP 2018-06-29
AOR 2018-08-22
MR 2018-11-21
Pre-arrival 2018-11-22
PPR & DM 2019-09-09
I would like to do the landing as soon as I receive CoPR. Preferably directly at the Montreal IRCC office (1025 St Jacques) without going to the border (would save me the hassle of renting a car, driving down there, flagpoling, etc.).
Has anyone done inland landing recently? How long is the waiting time for an appointment? If I do book an appointment but then decide to go to the border after all, will there be any issue landing at the border?
I've read that some people landed at the Montreal IRCC office without an appointment (walk-in based, https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/inland-landing-interview-question.589786/#post-7728442) in early 2019. Has anyone done this recently?
Thanks in advance!
For simple reason of early medicals means- remedicals if expired! The sooner the medical doesn’t really matters and its better than remedicals which is both physically and financially draining!
If you express an opinion on something and if you think that your personal consideration is superior, you should also think that some other people may think differently and they may have also valid reasons to support their ideas.So do you mean its okay for you to do remedicals and pay again?? Fyi, those who had late medicals also got PPR within a month so it doesnt really matter if your MR is late. Also, before the average processing time for QSW is less than 17 months so majority also get MR earlier, currently its 22 months, logic wise, Medicals will just expire if they will follow the previous trend!
Basing on your previous posts, some of them do not make sense even the recent- “IRCC officers to take on time or hasty decisions without passing the applicant’s medical expiration deadline” - because if you are reading the posts in here, majority of those of who had early medicals paid for another remedical! And of course its a disadvantage! Besides medical is just easy to pass, as a matter of fact, it can be the last before the decision. IRCC focuses on other long checks, example- SECURITY, Don’t you know that?

I simply asked that is better for whom? And you wrote this as an answer to me and even you checked my previous posts. You are awesome!
Truths;
My observations;
- Medicals have 12 months of validity time.
- Applicants must land to Canada before the expiration of their medicals.
- If medicals expired and the decision is NOT given during that period, medicals must be renewed.
- Every file has a due date for each process. Every time that the IRCC officer takes an action, he/she sets a dues date for the next action.
My thoughts;
- The majority of the applicants get DM before their medicals expired.
- It means if you have completed your medicals, presumably you will get your DM within at most 12 months.
- The minority of the applicants need to renew their medicals. In this case, there are two options that i saw;
- Their medicals are updated automatically, the duration is extended by the IRCC without making a new payment and getting examined.
- Re-medical is completed and the applicant needs to repay for it.
- Applicants who has had to make re-medicals, get their DMs most probably within a month.
- IRCC officers try to complete files before the medical expiration deadline. They want to be in the safe zone regarding the due dates and not want to extend processing times anymore.
And unfortunately, I think that as long as IRCC starts to ask for medicals later than before, they will have enough time to extend processing times for the future. Because they will have enough room to wait for medicals to be expired.
Those are just also your thoughts! Had you received PPR/ DM too? Passing Medicals is easy but Security check takes longer, and if you haven’t cleared it yet, regardless of the expiration of your Medicals, you’ll not get a decision, and its a fact! Getting a late Medical doesn’t really matters since it is easier to pass compared to Security, and its a Fact!

Thanks, my friend. I hope your words turn out to be true. God has been kind enough so far, I hope he will continue to bless us forever. If by any chance I get my medical request in next 1-2 months, (which is the completion of 12-13 months after AoR), I hope to get DM in next 6 months or so (considering the timeline to be around 17 months).Buddy, you will get your medical request most probably within a month
I am sure this will boost your patience again to wait a little bit more.
But I want to understand, why this procedure changed? It is clearly a big shift in medical requests timings. I don't know why this has happened.
It is better for whom? To my understanding, early medicals are much better for the applicant and it pushes IRCC officers to take on-time or hasty decisions without passing the applicant's medical expiration deadline.
This also can be seen from the applicants who get re-medicals, they get DM within a month.
I agree! Sorry for that! I just wish that all of us will get the golden PPR/ DM!Guys, relax! Let's cross share our experiences and respect every other person's opinion and thoughts. No, sometimes before the expiration of the Medicals, some checks are not yet done- esp Security, which takes from months even years. Others had their remedicals done before PPR/ DM. Its not an assurance for those who had an early medicals that their PR will be granted before its expiration.Hi,
i have read somewhere in this forum that before the expiry of your medicals you have to land in Canada. right. if its true, then there are 2 possibilities.
1: Those who are just waiting for Passports & COPR collection and as soon as it is received they will book their Air tickets on first possible flight. For this group, early medicals are favorable.(if its decided by IRCC)
2: And those who might have lot of loose threads and some business to close in home country before leaving that may take some extra time, for them late medicals are favorable.( if it is decided by IRCC) because it will give them time space. that is from Medical to Landing time limit.
Pls share your though on this. wishing every one Successful & happy ending on this passionate journey!!!
The current processing time is 22 months so its not favorable for those who had early medicals since it will just expire and of course will need to pay for an another Medicals.No, sometimes before the expiration of the Medicals, some checks are not yet done- esp Security, which takes from months even years. Right as its not assured which route IRCC will follow for application processing. if there is still something left to process like security or BG check after Medicals it will consume the time whatever left before its expiry.The current processing time is 22 months so its not favorable for those who had early medicals since it will just expire and of course will need to pay for an another Medicals.
I have completed 11 months of wait since my AoR. Per your thoughts, when do you think I can get medical request?The current processing time is 22 months so its not favorable for those who had early medicals since it will just expire and of course will need to pay for an another Medicals.
It varies from person to person, I even asked their thoughts about When will be the PPR after all the checks are done, but there is no exact pattern!I have completed 11 months of wait since my AoR. Per your thoughts, when do you think I can get medical request?
Congrats..Congrats.... Finally......all the best!
