Hey guys,
I know this is a really late reply, but I had nearly decided to give up on the whole process. I had gotten a new job and wasn't as hyped anymore about moving to Canada. It was pretty exhausting, so I just decided to relax and let God do as He willed. That said, things really started moving for me within the past month. This forum has been really helpful and I wanted to share so that someone else could be blessed.
I received a Medical Request from the IRCC on the 29 March 2018.
The following day I received an email that asked for my Passport and some other documents such as an FBI clearance. It reads (directly copied and pasted):
Your application for permanent residence in Canada has reached the final stage of processing. Please read
the following letter carefully and complete the necessary steps in order to finalize your application.
Steps to follow:
Complete an immigration medical exam. Applicable instructions and forms have been sent to
you in a separate email. Please note that the medical exam must be completed at least two weeks
prior to submitting the other documents outlined in this letter, to allow for processing. Please also
note that medical conditions requiring further tests will cause a delay in processing, you will be
informed by our office should additional tests be required.
Provide your original signed valid passport for yourself:
- Your passports must be valid for at least one year from the date you completed the medical
exam requested above. This will be the date by which you must arrive in Canada as an
immigrant.

least two blank pages in each passport
- Ordinary passports are the only type of passport into which a permanent resident visa may
be inserted. Diplomatic, official, and other special passports are not acceptable

Background Declaration). To obtain the forms, go to:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp#immigrate
o IMPORTANT: Questions 8 and 12 of your Schedule A MUST include all activities
and addresses for the LAST 10 YEARS. If you fail to provide all information for the
last ten years, your forms will be returned to you as incomplete and the processing of
your application will be delayed.
Provide an updated Police Clearance Certificate for yourself for the Bahamas. Provide a FBI
police certificate for yourself.

I know this a long post, but I hope it helps. I've been waiting for a Medical Request for a while now, and in my case, it seemed as though they asked for it along with my Passport. No DM and no prearrival letter (still not sure what that is). After I receive my FBI clearance, I will mail the IRCC and update the forum as things develop. I'm not done yet, but it seems like the finish line is getting a little closer.
Be encouraged. It's all in God's timing.
