Hi all,
My application for permanent residence (sponsored by my common-law partner) has been forwarded from the Buffalo consulate to the L.A. consulate. We're planning to move to Quebec, and I already have my Quebec selection certificate. I received a letter from the L.A. consulate requesting that I send them the certificate. Is there anyone who's been in this position who knows whether I should send
(a) the original
(b) an ordinary photocopy
or (c) a "certified true copy" (if such a thing exists for this particular document)?
If the answer is that I should send a "certified true copy", how do I obtain one? If the answer is that I should send the original, will they return it to me (since my letter from Quebec says I must keep the original)?
Thanks,
James
