Hello all, my husband is sponsoring me to live in Quebec and I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes to receive a letter from CIC saying that they've received your application and approved to apply for CSQ? and then how long that roughly takes too? thank you

Its taking roughly about 2 months.

When did you apply?

Hi, we've only just applied but we wanted to know the waiting times because we heard it usually takes 3 months+ to get the letter from CIC to send to Quebec Immigration For the CSQ.

I take it you are applying outland, sponsor approval is about 56 days, then it gets sent to the visa office for your country

Mine took 3 months only because of errors on my part. On the bottom of my SA letter it gave the instructions for applying for the CSQ.

If you're applying inland.. It may be a rather long wait. Have a look at my recent post here:

I applied in January, AOR in May, nothing else since.
