Hello Guys,

I have a CSQ certificate with which I wished to renew my work permit with a new employer. I checked the Quebec website which says that I should be able to change my employer on receipt of a CSQ.

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/immigrate-settle/students/stay-quebec/application-csq/students-peq/after-csq.html#studies

However when I tried to fill my work permit application, I find that I also need to attach PNP (provincial nominee program) certificate in addition to CSQ certificate with my application which I dont have.

I`d really appreciate some quick help on this.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

I need your help/advice on my situation. I came to Montreal in January 2014 on a closed work permit working as a Research assistant at a university where I am still working. This year I also applied for a Study permit to attend a professional course which I am attend every during the weekends. Hence my present status is of both a full time worker and a full time student. I wished to apply for my CSQ in Quebec (through PEQ) as a full time worker. Would me also being a full time student create any problem for me?

I would really appreciate your help on this.

Thank you.

Hi every one

The processing time is around 12-15 month but it could be varied.

And one more question please, do you know how to make the police check certificate I mean should I make it at police office or I can make it online ( I am in Canada )

Ottawa is the processing office for applications from within Canada.

You do not need a PCC from Canada unless CIC specifically requests one.

Hi all,

Does anybody know if there are significant differences between CSQ holders from PEQ and CSQ holders form the regular program, but at the federal level of processing?
A lawyer in Montreal told me PEQ holders get processed faster (at the federal level) than the regular program.

What is your experience?

I would be very surprised if that is the case. I don't think there is any where mentioned on the csq if it's regular or PEQ so no way for federal government to know.

I have the same question, but what I can see on CSQ, there is category I mean they write PEQ or regular at line 9

Applications for CSQ via PEQ generally process faster than application via the regular QSW program, at the Quebec level.

Once the PR application is made to CIC, the processing time for QSW will only differ depending on the visa office.

OTTAWA, where in-Canada applications (often the case for PEQ applicants) are processed, is one of the faster offices.

TL:DR: there's no official "fast-track" for PEQ at CIC level.

If you please, could any one who applied for permanent residence tell me what is the meaning of CSQ number, is it fill number or reference number ?
another question, regarding to my status I just finished my studies and have CSQ, waiting to post graduation work permit so what should I write to my status and the date from / to ?
please advise
Thanks

I have never heard anyone mention it as CSQ number, it's usually CSQ file number or CSQ reference number since they both are seperate. If you applied for work permit before your study permit expired then you are on an implied study permit till you get your work permit. If you applied for study permit after your work permit expired then you are out of status I guess, in which case I would say your status would be "waiting for work permit".
