Hi everyone,

Recently I applied under the PEQ for a CSQ. For the evidence of my French level, I provided a transcript of an exam I took in June when I completed a French course. I was told by the counsellor at the college where I took it that it was advanced intermediate level. (By the way this course is recognised by the Minister for Education.)
3 weeks after I mailed the application, I got a reply saying that my French level wasn't high enough, and subsequently my application has been refused and my file closed, and that I should apply under a different category. Turns out the course was equivalent to B1 and not B2 as required.
What gets me is that they didn't give me a chance to provide further evidence.. I thought they would give me 60 days to do that at the very least!
Has this has happened to anyone else? I want to take a recognised test (I am pretty confident I am at level B2), but I am not sure whether they will 'reopen' my file, or whether I would have to apply again (if I can??)... and of course, whether I'll have to pay the fee again. Haven't called Quebec immigration yet due to the holidays..
Please, if anyone has any information I would be so grateful!

You have to resubmit everything again. Pay again. No, they will not reopen your file.

Hello All,

For those who have already recieved PPR, can you tell me the turnaround time on receiving your passport back?

Sent mine in the mail yesterday (XPress Post) and just wondering how fast it will get back to me.

And just to clarify, once I get my passport back with the visa, it will also be accompanied by a COPR letter, correct? And with those two documents (visa and COPR), I only need to re-enter at a Canadian border to become a PR?

Thanks!

From people i saw in forums it takes about two weeks and we receive passport with COPR to do our landing

Please my friends please please,

Congrats for you...

Please I'm still in my home country and I just need this simple and little information :

I have found a particular program which is 2100 hours and cost only 11 800 $ and the duration is 17 months it's DEP DOUBLE Secretarial/Accounting (5712/5731) Can you please my friend get some information for me please as you are there and I have spent lot of time gathering info about it but nothing please can you ?

What I want to know about this program is : does it give direct access to the Programme de l'Expérience Québécoise ? as it's mentioned the official website that any DEP of 1800 Hour is admissible but this is two cumulated DEPs.

I've checked lot of colleges, really I can't remember the name, but éducation internationale has sent me a pdf document with a short list of programs and international fees, one of them was that program it's in the region of Montérégie.

after emailing a number of colleges, one of them responded with a list stating that program "double DEP sécrétariat / comptabilité" and below it between brackets was written (eligible for CSQ) so what do you think ?

I'm really really stressed right now as time is going from my hand to apply for sept intake.

please can you help me brothers ?

Hi Guys,

It seems that there are several people with same timeline approximately, it appears that they process them in batches. I'm optimistic about hearing from them by the end of march /early april going on similar timelines where the primary office was NS. I ordered GCMS notes on 18 feb, i'll let you know when i get them.
