Great, thanks so much.

Did you sent IRCC all of the documents that MIFI sent you? Also, it seems that they only approved CSQ for the principle applicant, so the CSQ for the accompanying dependent I guess is the same as the ones of the principle applicant? Im trying to submit them through the CIC portal and they have a separate submission slot for the CSQ of the principle applicant and the CSQ for the acoompanying dependent.

Many thanks
I sent CSQ for PA and CSQ for a dependent, double-check all the docs, there should be one for PA and one for Dep.

Thanks, you are right. There was a CSQ for the PA and another one for the dependent.

I've submitted the documents :) Hopefully we will hear back sometimes soon :)

Today, I (sponsor) got a letter from IRCC telling me that I've met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor, the file is being transferred to NDVO and to apply for CSQ. The issue is that my dad (PA) already received a letter from NDVO asking for CSQ on Oct 28th and I used that letter to apply for CSQ on Nov 1. I'm wondering what to do now. Should I send this letter to MIDI? This one has my name and his name on it.

I dont think it matters. Since you have already applied fro CSQ, if they need any other information, they will send you a letter.

But you can totally use the letter that was sent to the PA, that's what I did and it was fine. :)

Hi there!

I am new to this thread and the Quebec sponsorship in general. I am a Canadian citizen, living permanently in Quebec. I want to sponsor both of my parents at the same time, but I am a bit confused about the process.

Do I understand it correctly that I have to apply to IRCC first to be found eligible to sponsor? Am I correct about the application forms I have to submit to IRCC:
- Application to Sponsor, Sponsorship Agreement and Undertaking (IMM 1344)
- Financial Evaluation is not need if you are in Quebec. Is that correct?
- Generic Application form for Canada (IMM 008)
I have to declare one of my parents as a principal applicant and the second parent as a dependent. Is that correct? No need to fill in the second application form for the second parent?
- Canadian citizenship certificate
- Canadian passport
- Pay the required fees.

Do I understand the process correctly or am I missing something? And sponsoring through Quebec has nothing to do with federal sponsorship. Am I right?

I would appreciate your help very much.

May I know when did you send your application to federal ?

That is correct. You don't need to send Financial Evaluation to Federal. This part will be done through Quebec later when you apply for CSQ. IRCC at some point will send you a letter inviting you to apply for CSQ to MIDI and you will use that letter in your CSQ application.

Thank you for assistance! Now I am not worried :).

I still have one question.
When I apply to Federal before Quebec with two parents being sponsored, do I fill in only one Generic application form or two?
