One more question: those who apply for Quebec don't need the original option-C?

It doesn't necessarily take longer at all. Once the sponsorship approval is done, you send the application to Quebec and your package goes from Mississauga to the office that processes applications from your country. It takes at least two months before your application gets to the "top of the pile" of applications at your visa office and they start looking at it. By that time, you will already have the CSQ and will have sent it to them, so there might not be any delay.

No, you don't need an Option-C if you are in Quebec. I think we sent bank statements or something, but they don't really care about your income if it's a spousal application.

Thank you very much!
Wow it was a $%¨&*(*&% to take the Option-C ¬¬
Well my visa office is Sao Paulo, Brazil.
They changed their processing time from 9 to 8 months.
Hope I get my visa in 6 months or less.

we are applying through Quebec too and we didn't send "option C" but we also didn't include any Bank or financial related document in our federal package.

so Does it going to cause any problem in sponsor approval stage because we didn't include any Financial documents at all because those are not applicable to Quebec resident?

It should not cause any problem, as long as you provided what is asked for. The only place where financial information could be important in a spousal application is if it looks like it will be impossible for the two of you together to support yourselves. This kind of situation is rare.

We did send some bank statements with our federal application, but only to show that we have a joint bank account with both names on it.

It is fast for sponsored persons. A few months ago ours took 3 weeks, but I have heard of some getting it in 2 weeks and not many take more than 3.

thank you. praying there will be no problem with it.

Are you a Quebec applicant?
If yes, how long it took to receive CSQ.
If no, are there any November/December Quebec applicants that can please let me know how long theirs took to be delivered?
Thank you in advance.

bonjour!

after two weeks from sending my CSQ that we received the approval. however, my name was misspelled from kristel to bristle. and now, my VO is asking the CSQ, my passport and appendix A and gave me 30 days to send these. is it ok to send the CSQ even misspelled while waiting for the new one or should we wait? considering the days given to me to pass these. :( i am afraid i might not meet the 30 days.

pls help...

I would send the VO the copy with the misspelt name and attach a letter explaining my name was misspelt and a prove to show that I have asked for it to be corrected.

They will extend you extra time as long as they know it is coming. Send them what you have with an explanation that you are getting a corrected one.
