I came in Canada in May this year with a one year course acc to which i was supposed to get only one year work permit, so i got my course changed to a 2 year course for a 3 years work permit. But now Iam finding this course very very tough so I am planning to move to Quebec as the rules for the PR are easy their but my concern is that my Visa is expiring on 31st Dec this year and I want to know that do I have to write a letter to Embassy informing them about my change in level of course as I came for a graduate certificate program and now i will joining a high school in Quebec....??? can i do this ?? like can i do high school in Quebec and will the embassy increase my visa for that ??

Hi,

According to CIC website, you must inform them if the level of your studies is changed.

They say: However, if for example you are a student at the primary school level and you are moving on to secondary school, or if you are a secondary school student and you are moving on to post-secondary studies, or if you are moving from post-secondary studies to secondary studies, you need to submit an application to modify your study permit at the Citizenship and Immigration Canada Case Processing Centre in Vegreville, Alberta.

Quebec has easier routes for PR, but you need to be proficient in French. You need to have good command on French to secure a good job in Quebec.

Do not always depend on your consultants, explore your possibilities.

French will add extra advantages in your application made from Quebec. And in order to secure a good job in Quebec, it is essential as i have mentioned in my previous comment.

I am not a consultant, and do not have any practical experience handling such cases, I always refer to CIC website. I did not find any reference of what your consultant said. You can check the study permit extension/modification guide-line from CIC website at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5552ETOC.asp

Quebec Government and CHC are different things! Dont try to confuse your self!
