Did you do a direct wire transfer of $800,000? Didn't the Kuwait government and banking question the transaction?
Why would you think Kuwait govt would question the transaction? Money is transferred from your bank to Quebec Immigration's designated banks via wire transfer. The only question which Kuwait or Canada would ask you is the source of your CA$800,000 which you have to declare the legitimate source.rogerrandhawa said:Did you do a direct wire transfer of $800,000? I ,for once, open a bank account in the US. The bank staff told me story about some wealthy Chinese got their money blocked for quite sometime by the US Gov until they could produce document to prove that the money was clean.rogerrandhawa said:Did you do a direct wire transfer of $800,000? Hi xpress ,You can check online status of your application at CIC Check Your Application Status. If you need to ask the status of your application directly from Embassy, you can use the London VO case specific enquiry form. If that is not showing or telling you what you were looking for, you may need to request for GCMS notes to see at which stage your file is. Only your notes will tell the exact status of your application and notes from your case worker. (More information on GCMS, refer to my post -> http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/latest-caips-gcms-notes-forms-and-how-to-order-t99210.0.html;msg3494303#msg3494303 )
Current processing time for London Visa Office is 3 years and 5 months (41 months)
In your case, your file was transferred on Jan 2013. This would put your case to 2 years and 6 months. So, still almost less than a year to go.
Regarding your investment, your investment of $800,000 for 5 years term is guaranteed. You will get this money back after 5 years. (Source)
Everyone's experience is different. My VO was London as well. Here is my Timeline -> Quebec Investor Program : Current Timeline (6 years 4 Months)
Usually, when you are investing your funds with an approved financial intermediary, they have to inform you about the refund in case of non-approval or withdrawal.Hi xpress ,
Looking into the future , I have a specific question . I have signed agreement with my agent to transfer CAD 220000/ UPFRONT as one time payment on clearing the interview and for obtaineing the CSQ.
Now my question , suppose I transfer the CAS 220000 and get the CSQ. What if I fail in federal processing ( for any reason )
What is guarenatee that this CAD 220000 would be refunded to me . Will full amour be refunded and what is time frame for return . Is there any confirmed source or link where I can see myself as well
Response would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in anticipation
Thanks Xpress you are very kind and helpful. God bless youUsually, when you are investing your funds with an approved financial intermediary, they have to inform you about the refund in case of non-approval or withdrawal.
I have an old link, known as OP 9, where it states on Page 18 of Page 28 that in case of refusal or withdrawal, refund will be issued in 90 days. However, you must contact your financial intermediary to know the exact first hand information.

Me and My family medical were done in November last year and since then waiting for passport request but no reply from London vida office.
