Am planning to apply for QSC in the next 2 months..
My questions is, when is the best time for me to get married? not in common-law and neither engaged..

Two months is too soon and we won't be able to due to family...but I don't want to delay the application because I have no idea if the wedding will happen now or when...

However, at what stage of the process would be best to get married?
Before receiving a QSC, or after?
He does not know french at all- will that bring down my points down in case I were to add him early? If so, will the points be affected after receiving QSC?
How much will the process get delayed if I get married before receiving QSC?

What about soon after receiving the QSC? Or after getting the request for medical/security, I get married and then inform them that I am married so to include my spouse.

At this stage, what documents of his would we need to prepare for? Do we resend the application form with his details, his birth certificate, passport and residency visa, police clearance and medical...
Do we need all his employment and official educational transcripts/diploma etc...

Appreciate your help, as I'm just wondering when to plan the wedding keeping this PR application in mind...

thanks

Check http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index-can.asp

Yes, it applies to all countries that you lived in for more than 6 months.

Hi, maybe u mean for police clearance? But im referring to fingerprint form which is needed for applying a police clearance..

If you refer to the form ITSELF then I must say the blank form does not have an expiration date? I sent my fingerprints to the FBI and I just got them back so I have 3 months to submit them otherwise I will have to request them again after 3 months have passed.

Hi Riti

No news yet. I have been using an agent and they have asked me to be patient as Quebec applications are extensively delayed. I have been reading comments that people who made their applications sometime in 2010 have recently appeared for the interview. This means that its taking longer than 24 months for some. Its way toooooo long to wait for the interview but the good news is that it gives ample time to prepare for the interview.

Could you please share the reason why they have transferred your file to Montreal when is that you are anticipating your AOR???

Regards
Because now all the files will be processed in Montreal and not in Hong Kong. i do not know what is happening will contact them after 1st April. But they are taking too longg which is very discouraging

Can anybody please advise on below....

He does not know french at all- (ofcourse I'm getting him to start basics)
If I get married after applying but before QSC, will they recalculate all the points after adding him into the situation? (meaning he would need to do french exams etc?)
And what about if I get married after receiving QSC?

Just received a letter from BIQ Montreal informing me that my international DD that I used for certificat du selection du Quebec has expired. They have given me 90 days to resend the payment and failing to do so will cancel my application. Although they have not mentioned a file number in the content of the letter there is a number on the top right handside (No dossier) which I imagine is my file number.

Also I have come to know that all Hong Kong BIQ applications are now looked after in Montreal. Will this make the queue longer and us pushed back at the end?????? I hope that is not the case!!!!!

Hello All,

I would like to know the process to apply for Quebec FSW. is IELTS necessary for everyone, do I need to give a french equivalency test before i send the application.

Besides the forms and documents needed is there anything else one needs to be aware of.

Thanks,
Gary

Hi RITI,
My situation is same like you,
First date when application was send by me on 27th dec 2012.
Returned on 2nd january because original DELF certificate was missing.
Got that on 22nd Jan 2013 thru registered post.
Second time it was sent on 27th January 2013.
Sent from HK to Montreal on 2nd Feb 2013.
I got a Ind Ref No. on the letter first time when it was sent back, Its HA*21***8.
I want to know is that AOR or just Ref no?
My Demand Draft was valid for 3 months and no news so far if that is cashed.
Even my consultant told me to be patient but I dont belive them as they just want their money and they hardly have knowledge abt anything thats happening with QSW, I guess the forum has more knowledge then consultants. HAHAHA
Any ways I was concerned if they will send the application back because of DD or will they give me time to send a new one.

ANYONE WITH SAME EXPERIENCE AND HAVE RECEIVED AOR OR GIVEN TIME TO SEND DD CAN REPLY ME

Regards.
