I wonder if some of you have received priority after applying for CSQ or if you know someone who has. Please let me know, I am asking because I will receive priority for processing my file, but I have no clue how fast priority means for them. Just for reference, My CC was charged & letter sent a month ago. When should I get my CSQ?
Thanks guys, you rock!
Formally there's no restriction on applying simultaniously under both programs, but you'll have to submit 2 separate sets of documents. It means 2 IELTSs, 2 TEFs, 2 W-2, 2 Work letters, 2 Birth Certificates etc. In addition, it might create a confusion because you're assigned a unique application number by CIC for federal part. There's a certain number of quotes for FSW. Regarding french you can take either one of the tests. I recommended TEFAQ because it's the easiest and there're only speaking and listening parts. Since so far you have 6pts for AOT you should wait for the end of July to see if your occupation will move to the priority list on QSW. If not then go for FSW.ecekid said:Hi Ievgen,
Thank you so much for your help. I still keep W2 record. I don't worry about IELTS, it's just French that I haven't used for over 4 years. I lost a lot of my fluency, vocabulary and my listening is not as good as it used to be. I think It takes time to get it back (crossed finger).
I also wonder if I could apply for Federal skilled worker (FSW) at the same time? I know it is more competitive there but it seems I could get a lot of points there as they count the degree, not the fields as in QSW and in my case now, I could get 23/25 for master and even 25/25 once I have PhD degree, which is enormously impressive, compared to 6pts I get in section C in QSW. I also think if that works then I could take TEF instead of TEFQ and submit French both for QSW and FSW. Have you thought about this before?
Thanks,
ecekid
You can submit your application with no french if you have sufficient points. After you receive AOR then you can update your application with french scores. It's recommended to have at least lower intermediate level B1 because if you submit beginner A1 scores it almost guarantees an interview call even with excessive points. Also, the rules will become more strict on french proficiency soon.Inurrite said:Hello All,
I'd like to know what is the minimum French proficiency test result in order to apply to Quebec?? I scored 8.0 in English but no French whatsoever.
someone please help!
