no, I m not asking u to wait for 6 more months. But being on the edge is risky, as you are claiming to exactly having 49 points, of which I guess IELTS points are yet to be scored.

So, my suggestion is that at least gain some more points by clearing A1 level french & IELTS with score above 6 bands. So, you will be able to score something like 51 pts. You can surely get 4 pts out 6 of adaptability from Interview
This will not be so risky as to applying on just 49 points, where your csq is awarded only if you score full 6 points of adaptability in interview.

Hi...this information is rly very mch helpful....so as per u I should wait fr 6 months n den apply....bt dt would b late na......n as hre in India my field conditions r rly worse....no jobs at all....so dats fr sure dt I can't get job...cn I register fr sum French exam n submit those papers wid my application.....n later on I cn start learning French......is there any other way out....coz I want to start my application as soon as possible..

Age-16,education-26,as I m falling in grade A...IELTS-7....listening-8.5 n speaking-7...so I got 6 on dt....n.1 point fr funds...
So,total comes to -16+26+6+1-49 points.....
Now suggest me wt shud I do???shall I prepare fr French test....
??? Hw mch tym it takes???

(1) join intensive/crash course for A1 level in nearby Alliance Francaise Centre. 4-6 hours daily for 5 days in a week. You will be able to finish this course before the next A1 exam date. I know it sounds tough, but take my words, A1 is way too easy.
(2) if you are from India, next A1 exam will be scheduled in August-2012. Register yourself for this, provisional Result will take 1-1.5 months. You can sumbit provisional results first with the application and then send the result certificates later on.
(3) clearing A1 with scores of 16 out of 25 in Listening and Speaking will give you 1+1 =2 points, thus your total points will be 51. It will be more easier if you score less in interview, still you can reach to the desired 55 cutoff for CSQ.
So, in total , it will take 4-5 months from now to get A1 provisional results and then you can send your application.

This are just my suggestions, you are the best judge of your own situation, so think better and then take decision.

Hi...I shud tell u,ur suggestions r much more better den any counselor in d world.....thnx,n thnx n thnx a ton......tomm itself I ll go to center....bt one thing is wondering....dt it's result n all takes a lot of tym....it shud b lyk IELTS....register n get result within 15 days....bt den I think learning a language which u nevr even heard before would b difficult na....anyway I shud visit d centre asap fr all my doubts......

Hi....I m really very much tensed...I hv been to alliance centr today...dey said I cnt register fr august A1 exam...coz dey dnt think I ll b able to giv exam...coz I never learned French before....dey r askin me to join a batch on 23/06/12 to 26/08/12..n den go fr November.....result ll b declared on Jan....wat d hell...I dnt understand if dey dnt hv batches....I hv to wait so much....as u suggested dey dnt hv any intensive crash course....nw m thinking...can't wait more....should I apply wid 49 points....m hopeless nw...I ws so Hpy dt m qualifying....bt dis thing worrying me.....plz plz plz suggest something friends....

alliance recommended me 4 months course before i can write A1 exam and this is too much time. what you can do is join any other institute for much less and only 30 days crash course ,
and appear for august batch. if you fails you will loose is only 3K if you dont clear and continue learning. if you clear all well . I can say you two months thats more then enough

Yeah i joined a local institute in hyerabad , it was nice and serve the purpose. I just waiting for August exam batch.

Do we really need to send work certificate docs for spouse.?..As it is mention on the point system that spouse work experience is 0 points. My spouse cannot get work certificate from his previous company. If we never include his work certs and only letter of employment docs , can our application be affected?

Yes, it is required to get the points of AOT for spouse.
If you donts submit it, you will not get this points.

The List of areas of training is intended to identify
candidates who have earned diplomas or degrees in areas with good medium-term job prospects. It is compiled with particular regard to Québec job market requirements.

The diploma or degree must have been obtained in the five years previous to applying for a Québec Selection Certificate (QSC). If this is not the case, the applicant must have worked for at least one year out of the five years in question in a field directly related to the diploma or degree
obtained and for which assessment is being made.


So, as per this info, if your spouse's degree is older than 5 yrs, you must prove his/her work exp for at least 1 yr in last 5 yr. And for this, work docs are required.
If diploma/degree is earned in last 5 years, then it is not required.
